Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive into Naples Airport, meet your driver and start your private tour. Reach the Mount Vesuvius where you will meet your private French speaking guide. Walk to the mountain summit and enjoy the stunning views of the Gulf of Naples. Return to the car and continue to Pompei area where you will visit an enchanting property immersed in a chic atmosphere. Enjoy a guided tour inside the 4 hectares of the Winery, closet to the archaeological site of Pompeii, among History, Vineyards and elegant Cellar. The tour ends up with the Wine and Typical products and with traditional Neapolitan dishes and plates inspired to the Ancient Pompeii. After lunch, continue to Pompei ruins and discover these remarkably well-preserved towns that were destroyed by a volcanic mud eruption of the Vesuvius in 79AD in a 2 hour tour. At the end, reach your hotel in Ravello.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel and meet your private French speaking guide for a full day tour in Ravello and Amalfi. The route offers wonderful views, natural bays and picturesque towns. The most relaxing and exclusive tour: a full day spent on the Amalfi Coast between the Historical Amalfi and the elegant Ravello... all at easy! (possibility to visit also Maiori, Minori, Vietri) At the end of the tour, reach the cheese factory in Ravello and enjoy a delicious mozzarella tasting. You will learn the family’s historic cheese-making traditions using the excellent ingredients and artisan methods that come from the beautiful and dramatic Monti Lattari, the mountains along the Coast. After the tasting, return to the hotel on your own and overnight in Ravello.
Day 3
After breakfast, meet your English-speaking driver at the hotel and depart to Praiano where you will visit a local artist and his works. Then continue to Furore and enjoy a delicious wine tasting and lunch in the famous Marisa Cuomo winery. After lunch, time at your disposal to discover Positano on your own and drop off at the hotel in Positano.
Day 4 Breakfast at the hotel and meet your private driver. Private transfer to Positano and meet your private English-speaking guide for an incredible experience on the famous Path of the Gods. Probably one of the most famous paths in Italy, this hike moves from Bomerano to Nocelle. Walking between heaven and earth, from the Path of the Gods it is possible to admire one of the most breath-taking panoramas on Earth: a stunning view of the coast which ranges from the archipelago of Li Galli at your left to the Island of Capri in front of you. The Path of the Gods, despite the name, is also an extraordinary example of the work of human beings, who managed throughout the centuries to colonize even the most impracticable locations of the region. Walking in this spectacular scenery, there will be the occasion to meet local shepherds and farmers eventually. They still work and live in this little corner of heaven facing every day the difficulties of their hard job with passion and devotion, a trademark of the people here in Southern Italy. Through old vineyards, terraces, farmhouses and monasteries, suspended at 650 meters above the sea level, you will have the feeling to walk in a painting with an ever-changing landscape. Botany: Mediterranean scrub, heather, euphorbia, true myrtle, orchids in spring. Fauna: birds of prey (kestrel, peregrine falcon, buzzard, raven, sea gull.) migratory and sedentary birds and insects, butterflies, reptiles (lizards, harmless snakes). Natural landscape interests: view on the whole peninsula, view on Capri and Amalfi coast. At the end of the path, keep walking to Positano, say goodbye to the guide and enjoy a free walk on your own. Explore this lovely hillside town with colourful buildings cascade down to the sea. Private transfer back to your hotel
Day 5
Breakfast and private transfer to your hotel in Sorrento. Before the check in, stop in Sant’ Agata dei Golfi and take part in a private cooking school in a Michelin starred restaurant. After 3 hours and half approx., your driver will transfer you to your hotel in Sorrento for some time at your leisure. At 4:30PM, meet your private guide and enjoy a nice stroll in Sorrento. Follow your guide for the famous Piazza dedicated to Torquato Tasso, admire the Church of Sant' Antonino and the Cloister of San Francesco and admire the fascinating Vallone dei Mulini. In the small alleys of Sorrento, you can appreciate the local art crafts such as woodworking as the Inlay and the famous Sorrento sandals. At 18.30, transfer from your Hotel to the Port of Marina Grande. Embark and leave for the fishing post. Whilst en route you will be briefed on the fishing techniques and the use of the traditional tools. After fishing, you will stop in one of the Sorrento’s bay for an unbelievable dinner with traditional Napoli’s dishes. Return to Sorrento at approximately 11.00 pm and transfer back to the Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 6
After breakfast, reach Sorrento port and enjoy a full day tour to Capri with your private boat. Capri is an island rich in natural beauty, scenic, historical, and social activities that involve the whole world. For nature and landscape lovers there will be a nice opportunity to get the chair lift that arrives at 600 mt. around the summit of Monte Solaro, the highest point of the island. Return to Sorrento at 6:00PM approx. (possibility to stop for lunch at Il Riccio Restaurant) Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 7
Breakfast at the hotel and depart to Ischia Island with your private boat. Before reaching the hotel, enjoy a full day tour along this volcanic island, rich of many natural thermal spots. Your skipper will stop by the best spots along the coast for swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling, as well! During the tour you will discover: Forio, Maronti Beach, Sorgeto Bay, Il Fungo - a big volcanic rock in the middle of the sea, which looks like a mushroom. Possibility to stop for lunch at Il Guarracino restaurant. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Ischia.
Day 8
After breakfast, meet your driver and your French speaking guide at hotel for a full day tour. You will visit the famous Mortella Gardens one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Italy that has more than 1,000 rare and exotic plants. Do not miss a pleasant walk through the liveliest city centre on the island to the famous Castello Aragonese. Inside this large castle complex, you can visit the ruins of the 14th century Cattedrale dell' Assunta (destroyed by English cannons in 1809), the Chiesa dell' Immacolata, The Convent and Cemetery of the Poor Clares, the Church of San Pietro, and the small torture museum. (optional).
Day 9
Time to say goodbye to Ischia. Private transfer by private boat to Naples port and meet your guide for a half day tour in Naples. Your driver will be at your disposal until your drop off at the airport. (approx. 4 hours). Walk past the Royal Palace of Naples, where the great Bourbon Kings once resided. Continue to San Francesco di Paola, a beautiful church located at the Piazza del Plebiscito, Naples’ main city square. Stroll through the beautiful Gallery of Umberto I, a public shopping gallery opposite the San Carlo opera house, the oldest opera house in Italy. After, you will walk around the old and lively street market of Pignasecca, full of flavours and calls from the stall holders and through the well-known ‘Spaccanapoli’, where you will reach the historic center. It will be a unique chance for you to walk on by churches and palaces of the historic centre, taste the ‘Cuoppo di frittura’ (a “cone” of traditional fried finger foods), the typical sfogliatella dessert and the famous coffee espresso.
